A)

Wind thread along the first 1/3 of the hook shank and then
return the thread half way back to the eye of the hook.

Tie in a set of bead chain eyes using figure of eight
wraps or horizontal wraps.

Take the thread down to above the point of the hook
and tie in a short tail of rabbit fur.

- If your going to add additional weight do it now by
wrapping the desired amount of lead along the hook shank directly
behind the eyes.

Return the thread to behind the eyes and tie in a bunch of
deer hair that extend just a little shorter than the tail.

C)
Rotate the hook in the vice and tie in additional bunches of
rabbit fur until a complete body is formed.

D)Create a dubbing loop and load it with rabbit fur.
|

E)
Twist the loaded dubbing loop into a rope.

F)

Take a couple of turns of the dubbing loop rope behind the
eyes and then a figure of eight wrap of the rope around the eyes
and tie it off in front of the eyes.

Trim the excess dubbing loop rope.
-
Build up a net head of thread in front of the eyes, whip
finish and varnish the thread.
