LOCH STYLE FLIES
PALMER VARIANTS
(LOCH STYLE
FLY OR
ATTRACTOR
FLY)
To Palmer a fly is to
wind a hackle along the body forming segments. This technique was
introduce by a chap named
Palmer hence the name. The Soldier Palmer is an older style of Palmered
Fly whereas
the Pilchard Palmer and Carrot Palmer are flies I made up to fit a gap
for a green flashy
fly and a carrot type fly in my arsenal.
